Write the Book Only You Can Write
100 Days to Your Full Draft
One hundred consecutive days. Fourteen signature craft classes. Live feedback on your new pages, a small group beside you, and a daily practice that turns scattered mornings into a finished draft — one point of light at a time.
Winter 2027 · January 10 – April 19
One hundred days to take your place in the great constellation.
Make your book a reality in 2027.
The Fountain's 100-Day Winter Intensive is a transformative container for the story that's been waiting inside you. Through our unique blend of neuroscience-backed creative techniques and craft, you'll not only produce a complete draft, you'll transform your relationship with creativity itself.
I ended the summer with 50,000 words of my draft and a better understanding of my story — and the stamina and patience to keep going. Chelsea and Kim teach with humility, grace, experience, curiosity, and humor. It's unlike any class I've ever taken.
A Book. A Draft. A Self You've Never Met.
Over 100 consecutive days, you'll work your way systematically through every stage of creation—from establishing foundations to crafting powerful endings and everything in between. These 100 days will pass no matter what. Will you use them to finally write your book?
Each week delivers:
I started the 100-day intensive with paralyzing anxiety every time I sat down to write. Now, my daily writing practice feels like a cherished, non-negotiable part of my day — it's not tied to expectations. It's simply a conversation that I really want to have. The intensive felt like years of writing classes packed into 100 days.
From Blank Page to Full Draft—The Clock Starts Now
Our week-by-week curriculum builds momentum through:
The shape of your hundred days
One craft idea per week, carried from Sunday to Friday.
Your Craft Classes, On Your Schedule
Every Sunday, a new two-hour craft class opens your week—fourteen signature classes, the ones writers tell us they return to for years. Watch on your own schedule. Each class sets the week's focus, and the weekly curriculum works the same ground, so the whole week moves as one idea.
The Clearings
Each week comes with a custom Craft Clearing—a guided audio experience set to binaural frequencies, carrying the week's craft lesson to a deeper level of attention. Headphones on, eyes closed, and the lesson arrives while your nervous system settles. Fourteen in all, made exclusively for this intensive, yours to return to whenever the work needs opening.
Something Live Every Week
The Live Listening Rooms. Every other Friday, up to two hours: share your new work aloud and get Fountain Method feedback on the spot. No sign-ups, no submitting ahead—come to read and come to listen. And your small group meets weekly, a handful of writers living the same hundred days you are.
The Visioning Session
The final Friday belongs to what comes next. Both of us are there, and instead of readings, we look forward to submission, revision, the longer project, the next draft of your writing life. Bring every question you've been saving.
Before starting, I had an idea for my second novel but was having trouble making any meaningful progress. By the end, I established a consistent writing practice — but the most meaningful takeaway is the enthusiasm I found in working on it. I felt constantly blown away by the level of thought put into the course, from the lessons to the small groups, daily curriculum, and craft clearings — it went well beyond my expectations.
The Fountain Difference: Beyond Technique
You don't need more discipline. You need devotion. You don't need more time. You need a container.
Unlike traditional writing programs focused solely on craft, our approach integrates the cognitive science of creativity with practical instruction. You'll learn how to identify the source of your creative blocks, how to access flow states for more productive writing sessions, and how to build lasting creative habits that support your artistic practice long after the intensive ends. Not to mention the bond you will build with your small group cohort, connections that can last a lifetime.
Our community-centered approach means you're never alone. Your small group meets every week, a Live Listening Room opens every other Friday, and a cohort of writers moves through the same hundred days beside you.
Being around real, accomplished writers and seeing that they are just like me gives me so much confidence to keep going. I love how I look forward to my writing time now. I started this writing journey all alone and figured that would be how it was for the rest of my life. Now I have multiple besties.
Your Guides
Made by writers, for writers.
The 100-Day Intensive is the foundational Fountain offering. We're Chelsea Bieker and Kimberly King Parsons, bestselling and award-winning fiction writers with more than thirty years of combined teaching experience—at Tin House, Columbia, Catapult, Center for Fiction, Pacific University, Hugo House, and beyond. We built The Fountain because traditional workshops address technique but miss the deeper work of dissolving the blocks that keep writers from the page. These hundred days are that work, in its fullest form.

My writing feels the strongest it's ever been. This course gave me the clarity on the project I didn't even know I was lacking. Now, if I'm not actively engaging with my practice every day, I honestly miss it — my day feels incomplete.
